Background

Blur, remove or replace the background in Facecast with engines that run in your browser, a chroma key for green screens, and what is loaded from third parties.

Facecast can change the background behind you, in your browser.

Modes#

None, blur, remove, or replace with a colour, a picture or a looping silent video. Edge softness, stability and hair detail have sliders, and each engine starts from its own tuned values. A mask view shows what the engine sees.

Engines#

MediaPipe (selfie, landscape and multiclass), BodyPix, MODNet, PP-HumanSeg, or your system's own background effect where it exists. The engines run in a Web Worker so the page stays smooth. If a worker cannot load an engine, it runs on the page and the readout says which.

Chroma key#

For a green or blue screen, or a colour you pick. Choose Pick from the camera, click the colour on the live picture, and tune similarity, smoothness and spill.
